Public Speaking
Since 2018 I have addressed audiences as large as 700 on topics ranging from augmented reality to technical product walkthroughs. Below are my selected highlights showcasing conferences and events.
IBM THINK Conference - Modernizing Your Data Estates for an AI and Multicloud World
With this new wave of emerging technology, companies have more data than they know what to do with. Having data located in disparate sources, businesses face the challenge of putting their data to the best use possible. AT IBM’s THINK 2019 conference I joined Dinesh Nirmal, Vice President of Data and AI Development, on stage and demonstrated a walkthrough of IBM Cloud Private for Data, now known as Cloud Paak for Data, to show how businesses can virtualize their data in one place. In this keynote, IBM partners with Boeing to show how to build the future of Data & AI systems so that businesses can make data-driven decisions faster.
XRDC - Immersive Data Visualization: Design Challenges in AR
XRDC is an AR & VR conference showcasing innovation across the board, ranging from gaming to enterprise software. My colleague, Reena Ganga, and I explained how IBM is transforming the world of data analytics using Augmented Reality. We addressed design challenges we’ve faced throughout the process and how we’ve navigated through the uncharted territory associated with emerging technology.
IBM Future Blue Connect
In July 2019, IBM hosted its first ever Future Blue Connect event to inspire and educate 600 IBM interns. The 3-day event took place at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I was flown out to speak about my experience as a UX Designer at IBM over the past 2 years and answer questions.
ABC Business Academy at SJSU
ABC Business Academy is an entrepreneurial-based education program with locations around the world. I was asked to present at their program held at San Jose State University to showcase business applications of AR services and features that the students could leverage to launch their businesses after the program. I presented the current state of AR enterprise at IBM as well as use cases that I’ve been working on.
Hello World at Khan Academy
Hello World is a computer science enrichment program made to equip and empower future innovators. In partnership with Khan Academy, Hello World ran an AR/VR computer science camp for students ranging from 3rd to 12th grade. I was invited as a guest speaker to demonstrate my work in augmented reality and engage with the students by sharing my personal journey. The goal was to inspire these students and help them think expansively about what they can accomplish throughout their careers.
